How open-minded?

Fun/cool selfies have no limit.

How open-minded are you?

Twitter (and all social media, stereotypically) is a sh!t-storm.

Open-minded is the last thing anyone deep in the political divide is capable of being.

Self-admittedly, you don’t want to listen to what the other side has to say. At all. You also easily acknowledge that the other side has zero desire to listen to anything you have to say.

Thus, a sh!t-storm.

Perhaps a C or D grade is too generous. Both sides fail when all they want to do is talk and never listen.

Make note of this. And ask yourself if this is how you want to spend your lifetime. Particularly with the people you trust the most and care most about.

Short vs long term

USATF website welcome page
USATF = United States Track and Field.

The two main differences between a short-term and long-term dream:

  • the length of time needed to be successful
  • the level of determination expended to be successful

Insight: Reaching a short-term goal (say running a 10k) is one thing. Staying vibrantly active for a lifetime (long-term goal) is another.

We often get blinded by short-term success. But we should see the blindness coming before we even begin.

Great comeback week

Great comeback week.

Three 80+ minute workouts this week.

All three included 15 minutes of cool down stretching.

While remaining flexible over the years, flexibility has received the least amount of focus in recent years.

Like the three little pigs, there are four layers:

  1. Inflexible
  2. Barely flexible
  3. Moderately flexible
  4. Excellently flexible

Additional analogies…

Poverty, lower class, middle class, upper class.

Clueless, beginner, moderate, expert.

Covid-19.

Our preparation and tolerance for the unexpected is being revealed as we speak.

Congrats on earning an A+.

Wisdom what?

We are gonna miss Sam, the self-walking dog.

Wisdom what?

Four wisdom teeth.

Removed yesterday by noon.

At 19, he got it done based on professional recommendation.

Oddly, i still have all four wisdom teeth.

Skipped yesterday’s scheduled workout to accommodate for dental appointment.

Looking forward to this morning’s makeup session.

The real wisdom in this post is the daily, personal example of being a noticer (student) one day and a teacher the next, until it gets so blurred that you one day focus and realize – you are both, all day everyday.
