But I didn’t.

Heading to Orlando for the annual Track Shack 4th of July Watermelon 5k run.

Yeah, it’s a Sunday, and a holiday, and it’s early.

Having fun and staying healthy can sometimes feel like work, but mostly it feels like this:

  • Clothes that fit
  • Good health metrics
  • Good self-confidence
  • Not afraid of a bathing suit
  • Self-respect
  • Good role modeling

These are just a few of the advantages of hard work.

But you already know that.

Last night, 12,600 5k runners. The second largest Florida 5k ever.

Work hard. Play hard.

Just do it.

No pain, no gain.

Still In Pain?

Injuries and pain can make exercising a challenge.  No brainer, right?

Well, I’ve been dealing with injuries for five years now.  Guess you could say, “It’s the cost of doing business”.

I hate to complain, because complaining is fairly unproductive. There is one instance that I’ve discovered where complaining actually is effective.

If it causes you to do something positive about it.  This is a tough one. Misery loves company. Another no brainer, right?

So, saying that to ask you this, “How many times have you exercised this past week”? Carpe diem!

Watermelon 5k?

Good Saturday evening.  Started the day very early and was downtown before 7AM to run the annual Track Shack Watermelon 5k.

It was my first competitive 5k in my new age group.  I’ll share more details tomorrow.  Gotta go for now.
