Impossible Is For Amateurs

A preposterous Thanksgiving thought

Tell me this isn’t true…if this was stocked with free candy, it would be empty.

A preposterous Thanksgiving thought…

Can you go through the day without a sugar-laden treat?

What is lovely about being human is that we can create or consume our life.

One person directs their (food) choices, another is consumed by their choices.

Creating this post reminds me that many foods are natural, tasty, and nutritious.

How Much Is Enough?

Eating too much

Stumbled upon this older photo yesterday. It caught my eye knowing tomorrow is Thanksgiving.

Eating too much on Thanksgiving day has long been an American tradition.

A bountiful harvest.

A ton of gratitude.

Coming together to celebrate.

Nothing wrong with this except one thought.

Why do we eat to the point of discomfort?

Having done this for decades, i’m now in a place where it fascinates me as i avoid doing it at all costs.

Common Sense Is Elusive

Did you over eat yesterday?

stupid marketing
Who in their right mind has pants like these?

The messages we tell ourselves about our health become the mantras that set us free or imprison us.

Happy Thanksgiving, let’s gorge ourselves to keep the American tradition alive

Stopwatch screen shot from iPhone

(photo:  Walked 30 minutes instead of running… felt the body needed something, including a day off from running)

Happy Thanksgiving, let’s gorge ourselves to keep the American tradition alive.

What if we changed the way we thought about Thanksgiving?

We only added to our plate once – decent, appropriate portions for our body size and type?

Or, we could, like we generally do as an American culture, eat until we feel uncomfortable.

And then watch football and hope the feeling subsides…

So we can have more pumpkin pie, this time with ice cream.

Change one to change everything?

Did the Pilgrims Exercise?

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

This made me laugh when the thought came to mind, “Did the Pilgrims exercise?”

Next thought was, “Who cares, right?”

And then, “Their whole life was exercise.”

And finally, “How selfish is it to live a life of ease?”

Ya with me?
