Wisdom what?

We are gonna miss Sam, the self-walking dog.

Wisdom what?

Four wisdom teeth.

Removed yesterday by noon.

At 19, he got it done based on professional recommendation.

Oddly, i still have all four wisdom teeth.

Skipped yesterday’s scheduled workout to accommodate for dental appointment.

Looking forward to this morning’s makeup session.

The real wisdom in this post is the daily, personal example of being a noticer (student) one day and a teacher the next, until it gets so blurred that you one day focus and realize – you are both, all day everyday.

Greater as a whole

Adventist Health System
A wall for selfies to use on social media.

We are greater as a whole at work.

We are greater as a whole with mind, body, spirit, money, and hq.

We are greater as a whole when we floss as well as brush.

Yes, some nights i have to muster an extra-ordinary motivation (because the tank is on empty) to floss.

What’s my secret?

How gross it feels to allow garbage (decaying food particles) in my mouth overnight. And how scary it is to know that skipping one night makes skipping a second night far too easy.

Brush and floss like you mean it

expanding dental floss
New flossing technology – expanding floss. From yesterday’s teeth cleaning.

Brush and floss like you mean it.

Truth be told, taking great care of our teeth, particularly our gums, is one of the most beneficial daily chores we can do.

Google it if you need a wakeup call.

What grade do you give yourself today, right now.

Go.

Flossing is probably the last thing i want to do

The contrast is striking. Transfer the contrast to flossing nightly to never flossing.

Flossing is probably the last thing i want to do.

Flossing before bed can be the last thing i have the energy to do.

But i do it anyway.

Everyone knows flossing is the key for fighting gum disease.

Gum disease impacts our entire body in insidious ways.

Three or four minutes before bedtime.

Congratulations for understanding this and acting on it.

What a wonderful health habit.

Where does one find motivation to do the hard stuff?

Accountability can be a bitch sometimes.

After dinner, you probably satisfy your sweet tooth.

And this quite possibly happens literally 365 days a year.

How long after that do you wait to brush and floss?

Be careful.

Over time (years/decades) you’ll begin losing teeth and look back with regret.

There’s your motivation for doing it tonight when it’s the last thing you feel like doing.
