24 after school hugs remaining

Orlando at dawn
From this morning’s second run.

There are 24 after school hugs remaining, not counting today.

Assumptions:

  • 180 days for typical school year (13-18)
  • Ten years of year-round day care required (age 3 – 13) (240 M-F days)
  • 5 x 180 = 900
  • 10 x 240 = 2,400
  • 900 + 2,400 = 3,300 total after school hugs

Two dozen left to enjoy.

Focus

Florida palm trees
Yesterday walking to the gym. Snapped this pic while walking past our home – sent it to someone in Glacier National Park.

What do you have if you don’t focus on your priorities?

This is a million-dollar question.

Your answer is worth at least a million dollars too.

And…

And your intentional focus (on your priorities) is worth a hundred-fold more.

The biking to High School

Morning routines
Writing two hours every morning helps me think. Thinking helps me do. Doing helps me serve. Serving helps me find peace and contentment. Peace and contentment floods me with joy.

The biking to High School, keep it up.

Find and hone your routines.

Experiment with them too.

Build something that serves you.

Adapt as the years go by.

For you will surely be challenged, always, to quit.

Life will ebb and flow.

In the darker times, don’t cave.

Lean into the discomfort of finding new and better ways.

Take care of the temple housing everything keeping you alive.

It will bring you a peace and contentment that will make you rich – rich with joy and gratitude.

Road trip to Goucher 2/5

Travel backpack
Real time photo.

Traveling light always feels more invigorating than traveling with more.

It’s a bit like being like a college student.

Exciting.

Adventurous.
