A Dollar, In My Pocket

(think Motown) Money, money, money, monnneyyy…Monnnnnnneyyyyyyy…

Are you a gambler? Willing to take a chance for a bigger return?

Made a bet last year. I won (unfortunately). The loser mailed my due. A dollar, in my pocket.

He was gung ho on getting healthy, and I antagonistically bet a dollar it wouldn’t last. Why? Because I have ESPN.

Power In The Impossible

What’s the power in the impossible?

Everything!

Yesterday, in a casual conversation, a friend mentioned that 90% of humans, if given the chance to transform themselves into something better, would not do so.

Can’t assure you this is a valid statistic, however, I’m using it here to illustrate a simple point. Even if the statistic is incorrect, there is something we can all agree on.

Most people (no matter the exact percentage) are afraid of change. Period.

And yet change is the only constant. Period.

What does this mean to you?  Probably nothing, unfortunately.  Why? Because 90% reading this are afraid to change. Most won’t think the impossible is possible.

Lane 8, Halloween Scared

Lane 8 is about taking care of our physical gifts, namely our physical health.  I am reminded  daily just how challenging it is.

As responsible adults, if we don’t make conscious choices, and fight the hard battle to get and stay healthy, what are we left with?

The opposite.

The opposite stinks.  Not making hard choices leads down a path that scares me.

Halloween is just around the corner.  That’s about as scared as I care to get.
