Are you unfit to own your body?

Florida vanity license plate
Is your default to take the stairs? You can imagine a day when you will wish you could climb to the third floor, right? Photo: Last night coming home from Give Kids The World.

Perhaps if you are unfit, you are unfit (double entendre).

Not being fit is like failing the “am-i-fit?” test.

Being fit is what we owe the temple housing everything keeping us alive.

If you are not fit, then you are unfit to own a temple, no?

Look around.

And remember.

This is your responsibility.

It is no one else’s.

You know this.

PS. In case it’s not obvious, your body is the temple.

Things that require zero talent…

inspirational list
We’ve all seen lists like this before.

Walking.

Stretching.

Going to bed at a decent time.

Avoiding the snack aisle.

Spending more time in the produce aisle.

Drinking more water.

Drinking less sugary things.

Flossing.

Turning off the TV.

Managing social media.

Creating a clear, concise, and compelling reason to get and stay healthy for a lifetime.

Clean up your own house first

Cinderella Castle and wordpress
Yesterday during Magic Kingdom visit.

Perhaps the saying, “Clean up your own house first”, would change the world.

Want others to fix their blind spots, you know, the things about them that annoy you?

Until our house in order, are we really in a position to be frustrated by another’s lack of change (of fixing themselves)?

Revolving my schedule around this small Summer opportunity

Two former Disney Institute Facilitators
Bob and i began exercising together in 1999. Photo: Four days ago at Disney University.

Revolving my schedule around this small Summer opportunity.

In an hour (at 6:40am) we’ll drive to the High School for our fourth Runner’s Club workout.

Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7am.

The club is made up mostly of Middle and High School Cross Country runners.

And there’s one dad that also participates, as well as a college-bound freshman who graduated a few weeks ago.

Changing Doctor appointments, business meetings and anything else that will conflict with this new Summer commitment.

While it’s a small endeavor, it could become life altering.

Photo above: Those two started out exercising together in 1999, it was only three weeks before one’s schedule threw him a curve. It’s been 17 years and counting for the other.

On April Fool’s Day 2009, jeff noel began writing five daily, differently-themed blogs (on five different sites). It was to be a 100-day self-imposed “writer’s bootcamp”, in preparation for writing his first book. He hasn’t missed a single day since.
