If Disney Ran Your Health:

  1. You’d be grateful, for starters
  2. You’d be held accountable for success
  3. You’d be expected to deliver great results
  4. You’d feel proud of being associated with a mindset that only accepts excellence as the norm
  5. You’d not only be healthier, but much healthier than now

Day

Hiking 11 miles roundtrip on Grinnell Glacier trail was a decision that only took a moment to make. The hike took all day. The joy we get from this day radiates still.

Here’s a train of thought for the new decade that begins in three days:

  • Moment
  • Hour
  • Day
  • Week
  • Month
  • Quarter
  • Year
  • Decade
  • Life

If Disney Ran Your Life, you learn to instinctively over-focus on the same things you used to under-focus on or ignore.

You learn to be intentional where you used to be unintentional.

The power that a decision we make in a day has the power to grow and influence by the week.

Eating too much

Stumbled upon this older photo yesterday. It caught my eye knowing tomorrow is Thanksgiving.

Eating too much on Thanksgiving day has long been an American tradition.

A bountiful harvest.

A ton of gratitude.

Coming together to celebrate.

Nothing wrong with this except one thought.

Why do we eat to the point of discomfort?

Having done this for decades, i’m now in a place where it fascinates me as i avoid doing it at all costs.

The higher truth about wellness

The higher truth about wellness…

You won’t get laughed at, but you will become silently annoying.

Over-focusing on wellness reminds you of who you used to be and it reminds certain others of who they still are.

Be active, rest and eat well.

The extra inch is this simple

This (long line wrapping back to the kids play area) is what happened as i finished my Chick-fil-A lunch yesterday.
Empty tray for context. I arrived at 11:57am and walked to the front of the line because it was empty.

The extra inch is this simple…

Show up five minutes before lunch rush.

Five minutes makes the difference between no line and a 10-minute line.

Son, over-focus and .think .differently are two critical success factors. Consider making them yours.
