Remember 1-Mailbox-a-Day?

What began from that April Fool’s day (2009) wellness challenge, to run one mailbox a day for a week and continue adding a mailbox each consecutive week, led to the first of several moments of truth.

The first moment of truth was about three years (2002) into running on my own, by myself, each morning in the dark, with headlights coming at you at 60 mph. And for half of the year, by Floridan standards, cold mornings to boot.

The one good thing that came from College life is that he met his future wife.

Maybe that’s why most folks go to College anyway. To find their life mate.

The one bad thing though, he amassed significant debt from student loans.

And he jogged to stay in shape, and counter the effects of high-calorie keg parties.

He even watched the 1976, 1980, 1984, 1988, 1992, 1996, 2000, 2004 and 2008 Summer Olympics.

The 1984 Olympics were mostly ignored, in favor of an overdue Honeymoon trip – bicycling across Washington State.
