Dreams need both

The top caption is central to this post.

Dreams need big efforts to be achieved plus similarly big, and ongoing, efforts to maintain.

Getting healthy, for example, is a common dream and requires diligence.

Same is true for maintaining and improving your health level once you reach it.

It may take a couple years to get healthy.

It may take decades – if you’re lucky – to maintain and improve it.

How lucky are we to have the privilege to honor the temple housing everything keeping us alive?

Expect To Fail

Rubbish!
Rubbish!

You should plan to fail.  It’s in your nature to fail.

Think about learning to walk as a toddler.  You constantly failed. Over, and over, and over.

So what?  Did it stop you?

You were determined – nothing would stop you from learning to walk. You had to learn, if you wanted to be like the others around you – everywhere you looked, people were walking.

So what?  So what is stopping you from applying that same desire and determination to get and stay healthy?

Everywhere you look people are getting and staying in ill health – a ticking time bomb so to speak.

The best health care reform our country can implement starts with you.

Quit complaining about our Government not doing this or not doing that.

Go look in the mirror and hold yourself to the same level of expectation.

And…

Expect to fail.

Lane 8 In Finland 2009

Last night I experimented with a WordPress front page “sticky post”. This allows bloggers to indefinitely keep a certain blog post as the very first post. Like a sticky note.

If it works, regular Lane 8 readers will see the same “Welcome to Lane 8” post indefinitely. This is really for first time readers to give them a quick look at what Lane 8 is about.  All you’ll have to do is simply scroll past it each time you visit, to get the daily Lane 8 post.

Do you experiment?  At work?  At home?  With your diet? With your exercise routine? With your rest? With your motivation?

We all know that experimentation and creativity are the keys to innovation. What grade do you give yourself for practicing what you preach?

Anyone on the honor roll this semester?

Why All These Questions?

Why do you exercise?

Why don’t you exercise?

Why do you eat such a healthy diet?

Why do you eat such junk food?

How long will you be able to maintain this routine?

When are you going to start?

What motivates you?

What are you afraid of?

Why?  When?  Where? Who?  How?

If you can’t answer these for yourself, then who else do you think is going to answer them?  No one?

No one! (exclamation mark)

One last question.

“Doesn’t this scare the heck out of you?”

Happy Easter

Happy Easter

If you don’t celebrate Easter, may I please wish you Joy in whatever makes you happy.  Diversity is what makes the world so special.  Thank you for respecting my beliefs as much as I respect yours.

Today is a day of rest, from training, and hopefully, from working.

Carpe diem.  Dream big, get there and most importantly of all, stay there.  That’s the ticket.  Staying at your goal.  jeff  🙂
