Hoping for a walk today from Hospital to College

Hoping for a walk today from York Hospital to York College.

Family undergoing surgery as i type this.

i like to think of all the work i’ve done and continue to do is an investment in enhancing the odds of fewer and less intense medical issues as i age.

Who wouldn’t hope for that?

On April Fool’s Day 2009, jeff noel began writing five daily, differently-themed blogs (on five different sites). It was to be a 100-day self-imposed “writer’s bootcamp”, in preparation for writing his first book. He hasn’t missed a single day since.

Not exercising because?

Eagle Scout medal
Be prepared sounds so cliche.

Not exercising because?

Because it’s an absurd proposition.

Not exercising because we are out of shape is as ridiculous as saying, i’m not showering because i’m dirty.

Yet this is the bull crap conversation we have with ourselves.

Again, absurd.

A bit like money in the bank

When we dedicate ourselves to an active lifestyle in spite of the overwhelming odds it will fail, we can go into a day without the need to exercise because it will be so stimulating that physical activity is not necessary this day.

It’s a nice feeling.

A bit like money in the bank.

Dictionary.com defines pathetic – (adj) miserably or contemptibly inadequate: “In return for your investment we get a pathetic three percent interest”.

What do we get for our investment in our physical well being?

We reap what we sow.
