72-hour challenge

Yesterday, met Cheryl at work so we could ride together to Epcot last night. Took this photo of the 2001 photo in her office. i began a consistent workout habit this same year.

Three days later, wrist is improving.

Ice, heat, ibuprofen, and a wrist brace.

Straightforward.

Common sense.

Amazing what can happen in three days.

Remarkable what can happen in nearly two decades using common sense.

Will i return to running soon?

Been dealing with a sore clavicle.

Most likely an overuse and repetitive motion injury.

Out of nowhere.

Thankful to be alive to have reached an age where this is a prevailing reality.

Find a million ways to stay motivated.

The alternative is to quit.

Last night watching the recorded 2018 American Idol Finale.

 

 

First massage in half a year.

Why?

Been busy.

Ninty minutes with Rick.

To get there by 9am, i rode a bike eight miles.

Rode home another eight miles.

To get 16 miles biking on a “non-workout” day is cool.

Rented bikes in Glacier for eight days, just to have them for whatever moves me.

Best Summer ever?

You don’t realize how strong you were until you stop.

A left shoulder injury two months ago, cause unknown, has eliminated several key upper-body exercises, namely pullups and pushups.

In just 60 days, i can feel the atrophy.

Now, imagine if the atrophy was from two years instead of two months.

Or how about two decades.

One of the million reasons we need to find our motivation to stay strong.
