Embrace difference, don’t fear difference

Embrace difference, don’t fear difference.

While i’m focused on physical health here, using “different” in any aspect of your life is something to be embraced.

What does different mean and why is it feared by many, and why does it matter to embrace different?

Here’s what i think…

i quit drinking December 31, 2001. Only two other close friends have since 2001 (one in 2017, one 5 years ago ).

i quit a sedentary lifestyle, and began regular, consistent exercise on April 15, 2001.

In 1999, i quit working shift work and began sleeping at night, every night, and became a morning person after leaving Disney Resort Hotel Operations to join Disney Institute (DI).

i quit sugar 11 weeks ago, October 31, 2018.

i quit being afraid to speak in public in early 1999 after joining DI to become a speaker – that which i feared, i became.

All of the above have transformed daily living.

It’s better.

Much better.

Thank you, different.

First massage in half a year

Kermit the Frog
Last night watching the recorded 2018 American Idol Finale.

First massage in half a year.

Why?

Been busy.

Ninty minutes with Rick.

To get there by 9am, i rode a bike eight miles.

Rode home another eight miles.

To get 16 miles biking on a “non-workout” day is cool.

Rented bikes in Glacier for eight days, just to have them for whatever moves me.

Best Summer ever?
