What do you see?

What do you see?
crowded city from jet
It’s crowded because long ago, Los Angeles and California provided many people a dream opportunity.

Los Angeles. With one green space lower right. Yay!

What do you see?

Hold that thought.

Coming back to ‘what do you see’ on today’s final blog.

Ps. Initially, i saw crowded, cramped conditions. Then quickly changed to seeing something completely different.

Thankful moving

wild flowers
Grateful to be moving and noticing.

Thankful moving.

Thankful pausing.

The sunrise.

The wild flowers.

The pace.

The agenda (to move for five or six miles).

The iPhone camera.

The photo.

This blog.

Thank you

toddler opening Christmas present
He’s squatting instead of sitting or standing. Any adult would be thankful to still be able to do the same. Our ancestors, before chairs were invented, used this functional stance to “sit”.

Imagine your body writing you a thank you note. What specifics are mentioned?

Grateful for the pain

Disney Keynote Speaker
i love being an entrepreneur. A crazy misfit. An outlier. A dreamer. And so on. Grateful for all the struggles. It means i’m moving forward on a big dream.

No pain jogging yesterday.

It’s insane how long i’ve lived with nagging foot pain.

Grateful for the pain though.

There are others who have no feet and they would give anything to have sore feet.

Thankful for an easy list

Airport departure list
Thankful to have a smartphone that doubles as a camera. Board at Gate 12.

Thankful for:

  • Having the funds to buy three roundtrip tickets.
  • Having time off to travel.
  • Having someone to visit.
  • Having a safe aviation system
  • Having a reliable car to make the one-hour drive to airport.
  • Having people to travel with me.
  • Having funds to rent a car in Allentown.
  • Having 93 and 90-year old In-Laws who still recognize our faces.
  • Being able to have a paperless boarding pass.
  • Being able to check-in online with my phone, especially from the Nursing Home.

This is tip-of-the-iceberg stuff.

The list goes on and on and literally never ends.

Does this mean i’m oblivious to the long-list of challenges, frustrations, and disappointments?

On April Fool’s Day 2009, jeff noel began writing five daily, differently-themed blogs (on five different sites). It was to be a 100-day self-imposed “writer’s bootcamp”, in preparation for writing his first book. He hasn’t missed a single day since.
