Driving down to Disney’s Riverside Resort to meet Ohio State friend, Craig, for a 6am run.
He’s been running regularly for about a year. Me, about 16 years. There’s a 21 year difference in age. Hope neither of these two things means anything.
Heading across the street to Keene’s Point to run this morning with 25-year friend Djuan Rivers. We met as colleagues for Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club opening team in 1990.
Djuan recently completed a marathon in Antarctica. He’s also parachuted over Mt Everest too. He has an extensive list of extreme adventures.
He has been insanely successful at Disney.

Three friends on a trip, all three are calling themselves runners.
One has been running for several years and has completed five marathons. Another who is potentially going to ‘become a runner’ for the first time in 50 years.
And then there’s the third person who has been running weekly since April Fool’s Day 1999. He doesn’t talk about running. Most of his t-shirts and jackets are from the USATF store.
This outer wear speaks to him. It says, ‘Team USA is good and decent and motivating”.
And there’s the insight. Do you speak to others about your
running wellness or do you speak to yourself?
