Decision fatigue and our body

Disney Institute Speakers
The “Chain of Excellence” has changed. It’s only coincidence that Mid Life Celebration has five components.

Decision fatigue and our body.

There are many food choices. Learn the super foods and eat them abundantly.

Create a system so you have the food you eat regularly readily available at home.

Conquer stress triggers as well as the desire to eat poorly when stressed. Make your decision making easy so you do not eat when under pressure.

Eat fresh. The fewer ingredients the better. Ideally five or less ingredients.

Move like you mean it.

Decide if you believe your body is the temple housing everything keeping you alive. Then let your decisions prove it.

Day and night, good and evil

healthy eating
Common sense can be rare. Look at your own habits.

Food as medicine or food as poison. It doesn’t get much simpler than this.

Day and night, good and evil.

Do you develop great, common sense habits early in life, or do you not and then later in life you must choose between transforming your lifelong habits or increasing your suffering.

Thank a farmer

Think about the obstacles for farmers.

Thank a farmer. And thank the truck drivers who get the farmers’ harvest to your local grocery store.

Is food pleasure or fuel?

Is food pleasure or fuel?

It can be one or both.

But there’s one it cannot be by itself.

Perfectly ripened fruit is healthy and delectable.

Cake is delectable, but not healthy.

And so goes our days.

Choices.

Always choices.

Pleasure only is not a choice.

“Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.”

healthy lunch
After a great workout, and before a client visit at Epcot, a power lunch.

A friend at the gym asked, “Did you bike today?”

“Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.”

i’ve told him this before, and don’t expect him to remember nor care.

“About an hour to the gym and an hour home.”

Ike stated (not in the form of a question), “So you can eat anything you want.”

Smiling, i spontaneously replied, “Yes, but i only eat the good stuff. Food is fuel.”

He never saw that coming.

Most don’t.

To exercise so you can splurge with unhealthy food choices and quantities?

Seriously?

Yeah, i used to think that way.

For decades.
