Be prepared

rainy day at college
Cold, rainy day yesterday. The rain stopped during our 30-minute walk to the theater.

Be prepared for whatever weather comes your way.

When you travel this is challenging because the weather you face may be an anomaly.

Bottomline, wherever you live, weather should literally never be an issue for your activity level.

Get to do vs have to do

Sleeping Beauty Castle
Walking through Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure theme parks last week never felt like exercise.

The perfect exercise is one that you find invigorating.

The perfect exercise will sometimes feel like work, but that work-feeling won’t have controlling interest over invigorating.

We walked 8-10 miles every day, seven consecutive days, plus four days in Eugene, Oregon before arriving in Anaheim.

We walked like we meant it

unique clouds
Yesterday. Somewhere near the Mississippi.

Looking forward to the Orlando workout lifestyle. An 11-day break is plenty of rest.

We walked like we meant it though. Between 8-10 miles each day. Everyday.

No more than 3 or 4 days ago

Look Darling, you can never neglect your body. Also, you can never wear a cape.

No more than 3 or 4 days ago.

What?

Your answer to, “When was the last time you exercised?”

i don’t always love to workout

Last night. Walked a 5k (round trip) to have dinner at Japan.

i don’t always love to workout.

But this morning, and for about the last month, i have loved every one.

Why?

In nursing a clavicle injury and needing to change the main core exercises i’ve done for a decade, a new core routine is born.

The change is refreshing.

Sometimes forced change is the only thing that changes us.

Take it when that happens.

It’s a gift.
