Did You Exercise Yesterday?

Did you?  Great if you did.  If you had a planned rest day, also great.

But if you didn’t do either in a purposeful way, you get another chance today.

Here are a couple tips, the most critical things, I’ve found to keep a positive momentum:

  • Have a goal, or purpose, bigger than yourself
  • Find the time of day that works best
  • Add it to your calendar (no afterthoughts)
  • Find an easy way to keep track of your progress
  • Forgive yourself if you miss a day, but don’t make it a habit
  • Have fun, stay healthy (injuries demotivate)
  • Carpe diem

Do you think you pay attention?

Do you really think you do?

It scares me to think about my blind spots.

Blind spots?

Yes.  Like my health.  My finances.  My spirit.   My intellect.

It’s so tempting to be so busy that the really important things get neglected.

Maybe it’s just easier for me to not have to think about my deficiencies, particularly self-control and will power.

Hey, I don’t have the answers.  But I do have one thing.

Know what it is?

It’s a young boy I want to be an excellent example for.

I want to overcome all the crap and excuses many people, including me, make.

All I can do is try and bust my hump.

I’d rather try with all my might and fail, than not try.

Carpe diem, jeff noel  🙂

Worry about your health

What’s the most common thing healthy-looking people hear from others?

“You don’t need to worry about your health. You’re in great shape.”

Denial, eh?

It’s denial on the part of the people saying this – the “unhealthy” people.

Please don’t get me wrong. I’m not trying to be hurtful. I’m just calling it the way I see it.

I’ve struggled with my health – weight, cholestrol, addiction, muscle atrophy, triglycerides, Body Mass Index, cardiovascular system, energy level, etc – all my life. Seriously.

And during my five decades, there have been varying degrees of focus and “success”.

I have found many “secrets” to health and I wish to share them with you.

The sad truth is that only three percent reading this will actually figure out a way to stay connected to the insights and practical tips – and the hope and purpose this blog will offer them.

Are you one of those people?

Hey, I get to go for a run. Or, I could go eat some donuts…..
