Great team at The Theater at Madison Square Garden. We also trained thousands in the IZOD Arena; the old Meadowlands, where Springsteen sold out a million consecutive shows. Ok, it wasn’t a million but it was a lot.

Do not live in the past.

Today’s workout will be inspired by the realization that today, at 60, my core is the best it’s ever been in my life.

We took the path less chosen. Working diligently on core is a path less taken.

Can’t do core or won’t do core?

Core exercises are challenging because, generally speaking, we are starting from a weak spot and progress seems impossible because our core is in fact impossibly weak.

Here’s a little secret about core.

Core responds nicely and graciously when you stay with it in a slow and steady fashion.

Eventually, your core is remarkably strong.

Such a wonderful gift you give yourself.

Be amazed and be amazing.

And enjoy your physical vibrancy today.

Why are you calling the seven physical pillars the seven sisters? Just for fun, and, to consciously use a non-male dominant phrase.

Don’t even get me started on core

Excercise, nutrition, and rest.

Most of us know about, and attempt to make a habit of, the first two.

But rest, no.

We use coffee, a busy schedule, and easy (instant) access to entertainment on a screen to completely neglect a decent sleep regiment.

And because of this, i really don’t want to get started on taking care of our core.

But…

But if you want to focus on your core, it may eliminate or reduce the habit of daily medication in your life’s second-half.

Had my paradigm destroyed yesterday

Biked 24 miles round trip to drop off some paperwork. Normal paradigm is to drive that distance for an errand.

 

Had my paradigm destroyed yesterday.

Up until yesterday, i thought of the gym as strength exercises and core exercises.

Charles, a personal trainer about my age, observed a few of the things i was doing and this ultimately ended with me getting schooled.

What if every exercise is a core exercise?

It should be.

And thanks to Charles, i’m ready to .think .differently about core.
