Um, yeah, this is what 163.5 pounds feels like to me.

 

i knew it!

Gained weight.

And this fact is exacerbated because i boarded the Disney Fantasy heavier than my ideal healthy weight.

And so it goes.

The road to excellence has no finish line.

PS. We tend to our finances because we can tell the difference between having financial breathing room versus being strapped financially. Body weight is simply a telling metric, like our checkbook balance (and our blood pressure, cholesterol, triglycerides, the number of hours we sleep each night, etc).

Everyone is going through a hell no one knows about.

 

Two mornings ago i weighed in at 155.5.

Woke up this morning four pounds heavier.

It happens.

Here’s why.

One day we reach a great milestone and then we think we can splurge a little.

But often, a little leads to a little too much.

Note to self (again, for the 100th 1,000th time), be careful with your “entitlement”.

Perhaps in less time than every 68 seconds, a high school graduate decides to never again exercise.

Win some, lose some, keep going.

Lose the battle but win the war.

Staying active is proverbial winning the war.

Not exercising on this trip is losing the proverbial battle.

Traveling, cold weather, commitments and adjusting to a new routine all make exercise more challenging.

We know this.

Yet we try to overcome it.

We often fail more than succeed at this.

Let it go.

Soon enough you’ll be home again.
