Good Enough For Top 20?

Is The Mask His Silver Bullet?
Is The Mask His Silver Bullet?

Ever do a 5k in your community and place in the top 20 for your age group?

Pretty cool feeling, if you’ve done it. And if you haven’t, you know what a cool feeling of accomplishment it could be.

Having a decent goal is very motivating.

How important is motivation?

Perhaps it’s life’s silver bullet.

PS. This is going somewhere…

  2. Jeff,

I think the silver bullet is the determination and not necessarily the outcome. I think of baseball and how “incredible” it is deemed that a baseball player bat over .300. What that means is that they have failed less than 7 out of every 10 tries in getting a hit. The odds are really against them, aren’t they? But they are determined to still get up and hit every time, in spite of the odds or the outcomes.

Now where the determination comes from – that’s for a different discussion. 🙂

  3. Bob, yes, determination has a source, maybe many sources.
The trick is to find your source and never lose the map.
Better, yet, go to the source so often that there becomes a well-worn path to it.
