Yes still doing it. Besides the obvious gender difference, I’ll never be Lance Armstrong on a bike, but I’m out there. I remind myself of that every time I slowly, very slowly pedal up a hill. Keep moving.

It takes guts to do what you are doing. To not quit. To fight through the boredom, the busy schedules, the plateaus, the injuries, the weather, the temptations, the (sometimes) ridicule.
Funny you should say that… A friend told me yesterday that after reading all my Facebook messages about bike riding that she is thinking about getting a bike. I told her to go for it.
If I had a job, I’d ride my bike to work. But thankfully, I DO have an office, and that’s a step in the right direction (lol), so I bike there every day. In fact, biking all around Oak Park — the post office, the dry cleaners, coffee shop meetings, interviews — anywhere I can go, I go. And both you Patty and you Jeff inspire me everyday to just get out there and ride…
Patty, you are creating a positive ripple effect.
Natalie, riding a bike, walking, anything. Our body thrives on movement, the same way our spirit thrives on service.
