Tied for longest continuous run

Sanibel Island thunderstorm
We see what we want to see.

Yesterday morning’s run was 1.5 miles.

By my standards, barely worth it.

By my running partner’s standards, it tied for his longest continuous run ever.

The long way is the short cut.

We see what we want to see.

Insignificance or significance.

Every choice has the same opportunity, even the ones that are routine.

Why?

Because our routine defines us.

Changing it is literally impossible.

Only an indomitable will to change will bring about change.

Anything less will allow excuses to grow and fester, and eventually win.

When our excuses win, we lose.
