Hikers with benefits

Anticipating 2022’s Glacier National Park trips to be different than the previous two Covid-19 impacted Summers.

Or maybe there’s excitement knowing more about hiking in Glacier this coming Summer than ever before.

Probably a combo.

Good surprises

Good surprises are, well, good.

And sometimes good surprises are great.

It’s easy to think each year in my 60s, will be a little slower than the previous year.

Fewer summits.

No new summits.

Less miles.

Fewer adventures.

Easy to let a closed mindset creep in…

Hey dude, you are not gonna be as physically vibrant this year as you have been in the past.

And then i remember last year’s (2021) final day at Logan Pass.

Remember how i wasn’t going to hike and then decided to do a ‘fitness test’ on Mt Oberlin….

Demolished my previous ascent record by eight minutes.

We shall see what the Universe has in store.

Physical Glacier fever.

Cardio and strength are excited to be elevated the way only alpine hiking can do.
