This will hold all our dreams and ideas

The photography process builds on the previous step.

Under fictitious names and companies, Walt’s team began buying five acres here, 50 acres there…and 500 acres over there, even 5,000-acres parcels.

A total of 27,443 square acres, or 43 square miles, was purchased before word got out that it was Disney buying all this land.

Land prices skyrocketed.

But Walt had enough, “To hold all the dreams and ideas” we could ever come up with.

And on October 1, 1971, Walt’s dream became a reality.

Does the longest sunlit day of your year inspire you?

Kalispell aerial view
i always reserve a window seat on the arrival and departing (this one) that faces Glacier. Sometimes the views are stunning, sometimes they aren’t.

Does the longest sunlit day of your year inspire you?

Does it give you more time to exercise?

Culture is simply formed by habits.

Culture is what people (you, me, everyone inside an organization) think and do, without thinking.

Like i said, habits.

Like intentionally choosing a seat to facilitate an aerial view of Glacier National Park.

The energy you bring for one directs the energy you bring for another

Simultaneously while i worked in Kentucky for two days, Disney Institute’s Customer Experience Summit was conducted at Disneyland.

The energy you bring for one directs the energy you bring for another.

Living like you mean it requires a person to give balanced attention to mind, body, spirit, work, and home.

Same with businesses.

Balanced attention to leaders, employees, customers, reputation, and improvement.

Looking forward to walking several miles this morning.

Afterwards, i’ll request a Lyft to the airport.

By 3pm today, i’ll be back at Walt Disney World.

Exercise your laugh muscles (please).

One of my executive coaching clients is focused on results.

Me too.

So every two weeks on our hour-long call i ask, “Did you laugh out loud at work since our last call?”

Let the Magic begin

Biking at Disney
Yesterday, the California dude (my cousin) never saw a quick bike trip to Main Street USA coming. And breakfast on Main Street to top off the surprise.

Main Street USA
Starbucks and breakfast is up on the right.

Mickey Mouse Castle Forecourt
We finished our breakfast while watching the daily Let The Magic Begin welcoming show played.

We biked nine miles roundtrip and walked a mile or two inside Magic Kingdom.

My cousin arrived at 6:45am (from Jacksonville) to be able to briefly see Cheryl and Chapin before they left at 7:00am.

He thought we’d spend a few hours sitting around the house, catching up on each other’s life.

After he left at 11am to drive to his next stop, i rode to the gym, worked out, and biked home.

Biking and walking to get things done is really cool.
