Occupy your heart

L-R: jeff noel and Jody Maberry. Summit of Swiftcurrent Mountain, at the Firetower. Swiftcurrent Glacier in the background.

Occupy your heart.

Honor and take care of your heart and cardiovascular system.

You deserve it.

You should be able to 100% confirm this in less than three seconds.

Finding your rhythm

Second place, 20-year old Sydney McLaughlin, was only 2/100ths of a second off the old world record.

Finding your rhythm has many meanings.

For me one of those meanings is adapting to lifestyle change.

Developing lifestyle normalcy happens through intentional over-focusing, and a growing confidence.

Hoping for a Monday morning Baltimore Anytime Fitness workout in two hours.

Any time, almost any where

Look.
My key fob worked perfectly, 800 miles from home.

Any time, almost any where.

The three mile round trip walk to Anytime Fitness yesterday was delightful.

Love asking Siri for the closest Anytime Fitness and the list shows the closest ones.

So easy. So convenient.

Felt good to get three gym workouts in the first week back from Glacier.

When you miss 10 days

Yesterday, back to running after a two week absence.

When you go 10 days without a gym workout, you’re in one of two places:

  1. The cusp of quitting
  2. Excited to get back in

When you don’t run for two weeks…you should substitute some other cardio activity like walking and/or biking.

There was no gym in Glacier nor was there one close by, but there was plenty of trail – trails are everywhere.
