Every day is Thanksgiving

Food is fuel.

Food is essential.

Once, only rich people ate sugar.

Now, every one does.

Sugar is the new smoking.

i quit sugar one year ago

Halloween, in five days, is the Super Bowl of candy sales and consumption. Photo: the first thing you see entering our local grocery store, yesterday.

i quit sugar one year ago.

The freedom from the pull to eat sugary sweets is liberating, joyful, and revealing.

When i pass on sweets in public, and people ask why, the explanation often reveals the elephant in the room – generally speaking, many Americans are addicted to sugar.

Who doesn’t love bunnies?

Who doesn’t love bunnies?

Especially when they are chocolate.

Today marks exactly half a year (week 26) of no-sugar.

No cookies, no ice cream, no cake…no “sweets”. Milk has sugar in it, as does bread. What i’m talking about here is completely omitting any food that is used to solve a craving for something sweet.

The habit is over-taking me

jeff noel Disney speaker
Training is generally step by step. Development is insatiably situational. You can develop others simply by telling them your stories – why you do what you do and how you’ve changed and grown in the process.

The habit is over-taking me.

And i couldn’t be happier.

Eating well, especially since i quit sugar on Halloween 2018, is energizing me in an unexpected way.

It’s helping me see that what i thought was impossible isn’t nearly as challenging once you rewire the habit.

Now the mind is auto-programmed; “Why would i ever want to put sugar into my engine.”

i knew dessert was potentially a temptation

Disney Keynote Speakers
Last night, back at my old stomping grounds.

Fourth trip to Disney in the past week. Last night to our Flagship Disney Resort.

Met up with a High School buddy and his wife for dinner at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa Citricos restaurant.

My wife met Rene and Cheryl two years ago at our 40th High School reunion in Pennsylvania, but our son was meeting them for the first time.

He did a great job indulging his attention on four people old enough to be his grandparents.

The meal was superb.

There was only one no sugar dessert.

i would have easily skipped dessert, but the ambiance and the company inspired me to partake.

The “i quit sugar” lifestyle change finishes week 11 tomorrow. Grateful for a no-sugar option.
