If you want a great teacher, become friends with taking risks (and failure).

Watching these young women play their hearts out on the soccer field during the holidays reminds me of a lesson learned long ago. Champions are made, not born. In athletics. In anything. Bank on it.

The long way is the short cut. And the most important skills the girls learn are not athletic. Never forget that.
