Continuous improvement.

The road to excellence has no finish line.

Continuously become more free from the logistical worries that travel attracts.

Travel lean.

Essentials.

Nothing more.

Hands free.

Wireless.

Light.

Simple.

This innovative mindset makes physical vibrancy easier to maintain while away from home’s conveniences.

Fear and doing nothing

quote
In discomfort now.

Fear and doing nothing.

What if?

Right?

What if something goes terribly wrong?

Work hard to mitigate risk. Work hard to create “worst case” scenarios so you can determine your recovery options and loss prevention options.

If we don’t, we become a prisoner to fear, a bird in a cage so to speak, never free to fly.

Who wants to do anything insignificant?

young acorn
Noticed this year’s budding acorns for the first time yesterday. In a few months, the green center will consume the brown outer shell. Few people realize it ever looks like this. i didn’t.

caterpillar on wall
On the tall block wall, this caterpillar stood out. It’s colored to blend in with nature. The wall is not nature. Photo angle is looking down at the ground (three feet away).

apple odometer
Just over two miles to walk to the gym yesterday.

The daily incremental improvement is discounted because it’s so small.

Insignificant.

Who wants to do anything that’s insignificant?

Literally no one.

And yet, really, is there an easier way to significant improvement?

Disney’s Continuous Improvement Process

Magic Kingdom stroller rental
Guests would rent a stroller and want to make a beeline to the very back corner of the park.

Disney’s continuous improvement process was called Guest Satisfaction Measurement in the 1990’s.

Today, it doesn’t have a name.

What habit or improvement are you working on now?
