Sunrise is good for your health

Today’s post are being written on a two-hour family beach-walk.

Every morning begins at 5:00 AM: i’m a zealot for awakening well before sunrise.

Being a night person or a morning person doesn’t matter.

What matters is that you are living your best life.

Humans have evolved as daytime creatures, seeking shelter from the darkness and avoidance from predators of the night.

Convenience, entertainment, and scalable protection (housing) have allowed humans to modify their personal rhythm.

Trust yourself as you learn what promotes your vibrancy and what hinders it.

i’ve always been a morning person.

When i was younger, i used to stay up for it.

It’s a good day to have a good day

Daytona Beach from plane
Last night…pretty sure it’s Daytona Beach.

Writing late again today, at 7:oopm.

Got two runs in – with my family before sunrise. Then walked four miles round trip to the gym. Good morning.

Good day.

Wishing you a broken leg?

good luck
At Disney, and in the entertainment industry in general, break a leg means good luck.

i’m getting better at waiting to make progress or completing something before saying, “Guess what i started doing?”

Why?

The likelihood that simply declaring something is not going to make it a reality.

Why?

Do your own math and you’ll quickly see that we humans are a funny bunch.

We desire all sorts of good-for-us change, but we are generally inept at making it stick.

Today begins month five of running one-mailbox-a-day for a week and adding a mailbox with each new week. This is not only me doing this, but also Cheryl and Chapin.

Run one mailbox a day family-style

Disney keynote speaker jeff noel
Rode bike to Disney’s Contemporary Resort a couple times this week.

Run one mailbox a day family-style.

The three of us began six days ago on Monday, August 6, 2018.

The date is not significant, nor memorable.

Not like April Fools Day 2009, when i began writing five daily, differently-themed blog posts.

Not like Halloween 2014, when i retired from Disney after 31 years of service.

In two days, on Monday, we’ll run two mailboxes a day for the week.

By the way, our jogging pace is slower than walking.

Isn’t retirement supposed to dump a ton of extra time our way?

The Basics in life and leadership

(photo: Never get bored with the basics. Thankful for the freedom to run five miles this morning, November 12)

Isn’t retirement supposed to dump a ton of extra time our way? Day two of second retirement week (yesterday) was supposed to include a one hour walk.  Didn’t happen.

Too many other competing things to do. Overall it was a great day, just lacked physical activity.
