You need endurance for the practice

ASCA swimming 2018
Same applies to swimming…any sport.

You might challenge me and say sprinters don’t need endurance training.

Here’s my reply…

You need endurance for the practices to get you to the 100-meter finals.

You need endurance for your warmups.

You need endurance because you’re an athlete.

Go.

The energy you bring for one directs the energy you bring for another

The energy you bring for one directs the energy you bring for another.

Living like you mean it requires a person to give balanced attention to mind, body, spirit, work, and home.

Same with businesses.

Balanced attention to leaders, employees, customers, reputation, and improvement.

Looking forward to walking several miles this morning.

Afterwards, i’ll request a Lyft to the airport.

By 3pm today, i’ll be back at Walt Disney World.

Two physical truths and a lie

human statue at Orlando airport
Proof i’m not lying that the person is not human.

Need an icebreaker for a group?

Two physical truths and a lie.

The goal is to stump the others at their table, or in pairs.

Ask your audience to think of two of their biggest physical or wellness accomplishments, milestones, or freakish encounters.

Perhaps they once broke their High School record for the 100-meter breast-stroke.

Maybe they recently completed their first half-marathon and in the process, lost 110 pounds of weight.

Then ask them to create an outrageous “lie” that competes with their two lifetime achievements.

The goal is to stump the others at their table, or their partner if they’re in pairs.

Walt Disney’s wisdom applies to wellness too.

Walt Disney said, “What we do is very serious business, but we should never take ourselves too seriously.”

These two photos were taken about a minute apart at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park.
