This is insanely, embarrassingly obvious, but we look away

Colorful running shoes

Are these for a fashion statement or for a walk or run?

This is insanely, embarrassingly obvious, and we race to look away:

Move it because you can. It will be a sad, sad day the day we no longer can. And that day will arrive at our doorstep faster if we don’t move while we can.

One thing excuses are guaranteed to do

A big truck load of red mulch being dumped

Dumping a truckload of excuses at our doorstep?

One thing excuses are guaranteed to do.

Nothing.

Our body is made strong by exercise, not excuses.

The harsh reality of health awareness

should say, no lifeguard, be sedentary at own risk

The harsh reality of health awareness. We truly don’t become aware how important good health is until we realize we don’t have it. Health offers a freedom very few realize.

Maybe the lady at Gold’s Gym was right

feeling deserving

Apple store Mall at Millenia grand reopening… many of us don’t feel deserving of an iPhone5

Maybe the lady at Gold’s Gym was right. Many of us (too many in fact) don’t feel deserving of great health.

So we sabotage our attitude, our efforts, our joy.

After speaking with someone yesterday, their unworthy attitude, and their sabotaging, well, looked as real as ever.

Pity.

The pressure to stay healthy is so great we find a millions ways to do this

healthy living

life is colorful with all it’s blessings… isn’t healthy living crystal clear?

The pressure to stay healthy is so great we find a millions ways to do this.

Adapt.

When it’s cold, we bundle up. When it’s hot, we shed cloths. When we’re thirsty, we drink.

When the pressure is unbearable to keep up, we make excuses, and then integrate them into our daily living.

And then we pretend changing doesn’t matter.

Why we must persist no matter what others say or do

excuses

but, but… I have a big meeting today in New Orleans and no time to exercise

Why we must persist no matter what others say or do. Four nights in a row with eight hours sleep. Uncommon. Determined. Focused. Habit? Hope so.

We must persist in spite of all obstacles, including daily influences. If we don’t, we fail and remain part of the herd.

The biggest exercise mistake of all time most people don’t realize

wellness

wellness is balance… balance is interconnectedness with attitude, spirit, health

The biggest exercise mistake of all time most people don’t realize?

Saying they hate exercise.

Don’t say it. Ever. (even if it feels true) Just don’t.

Why? Because we’ll start to believe it.

Deadly.

If we know what should be done, why then is it so challenging?

photo of AgePotential book table of contents

it only takes a lifetime to become a thriver at the game of life

If we know what should be done, why then is it so challenging? Aha, this one is easy. It’s challenging because we humans are an impatient bunch. We really hate to have to wait for results.
