Any path you choose will have too many roadblocks

Going to the Sun Road repaving
Learn to deal creatively with roadblocks.

Any path you choose will have too many roadblocks.

Accept it as part of life.

Learn to deal creatively with roadblocks.

And have faith that some detours will lead you to discoveries that alter the course of your life in transformational ways.

Focus

Florida palm trees
Yesterday walking to the gym. Snapped this pic while walking past our home – sent it to someone in Glacier National Park.

What do you have if you don’t focus on your priorities?

This is a million-dollar question.

Your answer is worth at least a million dollars too.

And…

And your intentional focus (on your priorities) is worth a hundred-fold more.

Will you need a car in the future?

Wasn’t sweaty on the ride to school until i stopped. Took 20 minutes to finally cool down.

Will you need a car in the future?

Depends.

Depends where you live.

Depends what you need?

Depends where you work?

Depends on your tolerance to rely on systems and process that you can’t control.

The costs for public transportation and delivery services may be less, similar, or more than vehicle ownership, upkeep, storage (parking), and insurance.

The biking to High School

Morning routines
Writing two hours every morning helps me think. Thinking helps me do. Doing helps me serve. Serving helps me find peace and contentment. Peace and contentment floods me with joy.

The biking to High School, keep it up.

Find and hone your routines.

Experiment with them too.

Build something that serves you.

Adapt as the years go by.

For you will surely be challenged, always, to quit.

Life will ebb and flow.

In the darker times, don’t cave.

Lean into the discomfort of finding new and better ways.

Take care of the temple housing everything keeping you alive.

It will bring you a peace and contentment that will make you rich – rich with joy and gratitude.

Louisville river front carnival
The morning temperature hovered near 32 degrees.

Louisville sunrise
Nearly four miles into yesterday morning’s walking-commute to work.

Random sidewalk
Looking back where i had been last night.

Louisville river front carnival
Twelve hours later, same Ferris wheel.

flowering tree
It snowed 36 hours ago, yet all the trees are bursting with Spring anticipation.

  1. i’ve published 17,000+ blog posts.
  2. Yesterday i walked eight miles round trip to work.
  3. i drive an antique car as my primary mode of transportation.

Number three is untrue. My 1990 car won’t be an antique until 2020.
