  1. Swam four seconds faster than you’ve ever swum for 50-meter freestyle.
  2. You were smiling after the 100-meter free even though your goggles came off at the start.
  3. You made an amazing pre-meet breakfast for yourself.

i’m fascinated by the physical results of setting a 10-year deadline.

My 40th High School reunion is in a month.

A room full of 58-year-olds.

Intentional about still weighing what i weighed at graduation.

While certain muscles aren’t as strong as they used to be, others (core) are the strongest they’ve ever been.

Ever.

These results fascinate me.

But i don’t have three hours

Writing this later than normal today, which means instead of saying something like, “Looking forward to this morning’s three-hour workout.”, i can now write, “Today’s 25-mile round trip bike ride (an hour each way) and hour-long gym workout felt great.”

To have a temple in which everything keeping us alive is stored, and neglect it just seems like a bad idea.

Three hours a day, three times a week. Never in my life until nine months ago.
