Worth a second look?

An adult knows strength, cardio, rest, nutrition, flexibility, core, and motivation are key to physical vibrancy. And if you pair high common sense with high action, you get wellness (aka physical vibrancy).

Common sense is not as common as it could be – nor as it should be.

Why?

Insidious distraction boasts high activity, but little to no common sense; plenty busy enough, but not focused on highest priorities.

Summarized differently, if you really want to/need to get real with yourself:

To know is to do. To know and not do is to not yet know.

Regret, that lower right box, it’s a freight-train barreling your way.

Common sense says don’t ever let that happen.

Short vs long term

USATF website welcome page
USATF = United States Track and Field.

The two main differences between a short-term and long-term dream:

  • the length of time needed to be successful
  • the level of determination expended to be successful

Insight: Reaching a short-term goal (say running a 10k) is one thing. Staying vibrantly active for a lifetime (long-term goal) is another.

We often get blinded by short-term success. But we should see the blindness coming before we even begin.

How’s your health?

Glacier webcam screen short lake McDonald
Yesterday snapped a real time Glacier National Park (Lake McDonald) webcam image. Smile-worthy.

How’s your health?

Now’s not the time to be in poor (average is poor) physical condition.

In fact, there is never a time to be in poor health. Listen, we all go in and out of poor health, but at some point, there are no more excuses reasons conditions that justify it.

Congrats on making that commitment when you did, long before anyone knew of Covid-19 and that being in great health helps you fight Covid-19.

One mailbox a day

Cannot recall why this photo was taken a few days ago.

Build small habits, and make big plans.

If your goal isn’t impossible, your not reaching high enough.

The long way is the shortcut.

The last time you exercised should never be more than a few days ago, except for extenuating circumstances a couple times each year.
