One Profound Secret

Each Day Is A Test Of Our Will

Each Day Is A Test Of Our Will

Do you struggle to stay focused?

Assuming you do, like me, then how does this lack of focus affect you?

Want to know a profound secret?

Create a ridiculously simple mantra that crystalizes your goal, your desire, your reward.

Here are two of mine. The first for overcoming addiction. The second for remaining motivated to exercise.

1. Every day or not at all. There is no middle ground. None. Period. End of story.

2. Stay healthy, have fun.  Being injured makes staying healthy and having fun nearly impossible.

As Safety is Disney’s “non-negotiable” it looks like your #1 above is your non-negotiable.

Part of #2, Stay Healthy, can involve some things out of your control. But if you remain true to #1, #2 is much easier I would assume.

It is David, but please don’t think that after 8.5 years that the journey is over. Far from it. Only someone who’s on the journey (and maybe you are) can understand this is a challenge until we die, never sooner.

    Very, very true!

    Great insight, Jeff.

Alex, love hearing from you my friend. Tweet old post is a WordPress plugin I use to randomly select old posts several times a day. This was an inspiring one to read, even though I wrote it. It may seem weird, but you might find the same thing to be true when you find old notes from when you were younger.

It’s like a moment in time, what I was thinking that day, July 16, 2010.

What’s inspiring is that the conviction is stronger today than when it was written.
