Time will tell and all we have is time

Landscape truck with company tagline
Who’s taking care of your health?

Time will tell and all we have is time.

Walked out to the mailbox like i do every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and began walking (instead of running). After the first mile, began a slow jog which lasted two miles and included a break or two to stretch.

Walked the final mile home.

No pain.

Time will tell if the freakish, sometimes debilitating pain will raise it’s ugly head.

Such is our life whether we live like we mean it or not.

Life is full of disappointment and crushed dreams

American Flag at Chimney Rock
Two days ago at Chimney Rock.

Today i begin the official process of canceling my flight to Lyon, France. Scheduled to leave in six days.

It’s not gonna happen.

i will not be able to represent the United States of America in the M55-59 age group at the 2015 Masters Track & Field World Championships.

Life is full of disappointment and crushed dreams. It’s our job to find the blessings in the ashes.

Maybe Cort (right) just needs a little nudge to enjoy the morning.

Slept in until 6am yesterday. Why mention it? Because being intentional about our health means we over manage certain things we used to under manage or ignore.

Sleep is one of them.

While sleeping in didn’t get me to eight hours, it did provide one more hour than waking up at 5am, which would have been better for getting my writing done.
