Yesterday’s run included going down a street i haven’t been on, but pass nearly everyday. Our High School is beyond the horse (left).

 

Decent eight-miler yesterday morning.

Also a decent gym workout in the afternoon.

These are things that refresh not only our body, but also our mind and our spirit.

A trifecta of sorts.

Hoping this morning’s run is full of zest.

But if it’s not today, it will come.

i will continue to run regardless of the circumstances.

How could i not?

Thanksgiving Day and the day after we forgot to run three mailboxes a day.

How could we forget something so simple?

It happens sometimes.

So we made it up yesterday (Saturday) and today (hopefully).

We keep our pace ridiculously slow, by design, for now.

Didn’t feel it yesterday

Disney traffic during Thanksgiving week
Yesterday from Pop Century to home.

 

Driving on Disney World property
Yesterday driving home.

 

Didn’t feel it yesterday.

Went out for an eight-mile run, which generally begins with a half-mile walk. Kept walking, for an hour. Just couldn’t get the juice to shift to running mode.

Hours later at the gym, backed off the normal routine and just did core.

The toll of tremendous creative effort – that has deadline and monetary pressure – can physically wear on a person.

We forgot yesterday

Thanksgiving Day dinner in Florida
Yesterday’s Thanksgiving dinner on the back porch.

 

We forgot yesterday. No, we did’t forget it was Thanksgiving. We forgot to run “three mailboxes.” When things like this happen, forgive yourself and know that one day isn’t going to ruin things.
